Frequently Asked Questions

How do I complete this?

The online training consists of theory and practical components.

The theory has resources/booklets and a quiz that has a video for you to watch.

The practical training is submitted by you. You will video yourself completing the tasks that are stated in the instructions. Please watch the videos in the quizzes to make sure you are completing the tasks correctly.

I don’t have the resources listed. What can I do?

If you do not have the resources required for your subject to complete the practical videos, you can use anything similar. I have listed below the most common equipment substitutes that people use.

Fire & Safety – hospital bed (use a normal bed and just do the movements/gestures that you would do if you had a hospital bed. Describe the process as you go. Example: strap the patient down, use pillows to cushion them, lower the bed as low as possible, drag this side first etc..)

PPE – gown (dressing gown backwards), goggles (glasses/sunglasses), gloves, mask

ANTT – dressing pack – forceps (tweezers), gauze (cotton pad/little pieces of paper towel), tray (little dish), apron/bluey (paper towel), plastic sheet (wrap it all in a big wrapper – like a towel, baking paper, tin foil etc..). Chemist Warehouse sell a dressing pack for cheap. https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/32253/dressing-tray-basic

How many attempts do I get to submit?

Each participant will be giving 3 attempts to submit their video to the assessor for review and be deemed competent

Should a participant be deemed not yet competent after 3 attempts we would look at scheduling a zoom session at an additional cost $44 per module to assist you in gaining competency.
